Benefits under MahaDBT Minority Scholarship

Under this mahadbt Scholarship, you are given a scholarship of Rs. 50 thousand and 100% fee and examination fee for those students whose fee falls within Rs. 50 thousand. The amount of this scholarship was Rs. 35 thousand a few years ago, now the government has increased it to Rs. 50 thousand, so more and more students will benefit from this scholarship to a large extent.

Often, students whose annual income is less than 2.5 lakhs and if they come from a minority community, the question always arises before the students as to which scholarship they should apply for. Students are always confused about whether to apply for EWS i.e. Economically Backward Scholarship or MahaDBT Minority Scholarship. In such a situation, students should apply for the right scholarship. If a student has taken admission in a professional course, and the annual academic fee of the student is high and the student is eligible for both these scholarships, then in such a case it is always beneficial for the student to fill the EWS scholarship form because under the EWS scholarship, students get half of their tuition fee i.e. 50% scholarship. Therefore, in such a situation, if the student’s academic fee is high, then he will definitely benefit from it.To explain this with an example, if a boy from a minority community has a tuition fee of two lakh rupees and he is eligible for both scholarships, then he is given a scholarship of only 50 thousand rupees under the MahaDBT Minority Scholarship. But if this student applies for a scholarship under EWS, he gets a direct 50% fee concession and a scholarship of up to one lakh rupees. Therefore, he can get a big scholarship under this. Therefore, in such a case, students should apply for the scholarship that is applicable according to their course and academic merit, but for this, the income condition is important here.

The amount of this scholarship was 35 thousand rupees a few days ago, but the government has made some changes in this scholarship and brought it back for students. The main thing is that the government has increased the amount given under the scholarship by putting an income condition. The amount has been increased from 35,000 to fifty thousand rupees. Initially, there was no income condition for this, but now an income of up to eight lakhs will be mandatory. Therefore, it is clear that the number of students benefiting from the scholarship has also increased due to the increase in the amount of this scholarship. Often, the fees of government colleges are very low. In such a situation, students who come from this minority category can get a hundred percent fee waiver if they fill the form under this. Because the fees for government colleges are always small, even ten to fifteen thousand rupees, they get a hundred percent discount under this.

The MahaDBT Minority Scholarship form is also filled in the same way as other MahaDBT scholarship forms. Only after completing all the procedures, you have to select the Department and Scheme Name from All Schemes in the correct manner. That is, if you are doing engineering, you have to select the Department of Technical Education and in the Scheme Name, you have to select the Scheme Name Scholarship for Students of Minority Communities for pursuing Higher and Professional Courses and finally, you have to press the Submit button to send the form for the next process.
